This system runs fine as is.

Are there advantages to my upgrading to Tiger?

Yeah, like not being able to run mix in 10.4.x. Pro Tools 6.4 only works in 10.3. I challenge you to get it working in 10.4 and let me know how you did it.

Yes, the advantage is that you'll be able to take the rest of the day off because your Pro Tools rig won't work anymore.

Don't do it.
