Default 8GB upgrade worth it for PTMP 7.4.2?

I currently have 4GB installed and running Leopard 10.5.5. Would I see a big difference in Pro Tools going from 4GB to 8GB? I run a ton of plug-ins with sessions of around 40 or so audio tracks. Anyone who has experience with this and can chime in with more than a "yes" or "no" answer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Default Re: 8GB upgrade worth it for PTMP 7.4.2?

I have 4gig on my white macbook and have ZERO issues...

I'm working an orchestra/choir project right now with about 20 tracks...multiple plugs and have no drop outs or anything like that...

IMO you can never have too much CPU or too much RAM..If your machine can take more...get more!!
