Another DAE Deck problem (revised)

HELP, I read back and tried all the suggestions on the last few pages. I unplugged the USB (many times), I trashed the DAE prefs, Digi setup, and Mac prefs. I downloaded the USB driver and Firmware updaters. I initialized my drive and reinsatlled my OS, I reinstalled PT a couple times. I still get "unable to create a DAE deck". Please help.
I'm using a G4 Dual 800, OS 9.2, M Box, PT 5.2.1

Did you find a solution to the "unable to create a DAE deck" problem? I just encountered it for the first time last night and fear it's major. I'm running PTLE 5.2 on a Mac G4 (Digi 001). The answerbase suggests it's hardware or power source related. Everything was working fine 48 hours earlier, haven't done anything to the hardware or card or power source. I'm mystified and terrified. Is the box or card dead after less than two years? If you found a solution or any further info please reply.
