Default PT 10.3.6 Startup Crash

Hey there Duc!

need some help with resolving protools 10.6.3 crashing on start up with 10.7.5 lion

Things i have tried.

Re-installing.

Deleting prefs.

Deleting Database.

Clearing Cache's.

Protool aborts startup when loading plug-in's.

Everytime i place a offending plug-in int unused PT 10 decides to crash at the plug-in before it which loaded fine.

I am confused, frustrated and ready to eat chocolate. < that last part wasn't necessary but might as well laugh.

Please help, i've searched everywhere for a possible solution aaand i haven't come across any which fixes my problem!

PS: When i uninstalled PT i did a full clear uninstall.

After re-installation i rechecked prefs, data, cache's ect.

When PT repeated the crashing i also repeated moving plug-ins into unused but came up with same unsatisfactory result.

Chances are that it's crashing on the 'next' thing it's trying to do rather than the one that's displayed on the startup splash, does the crash log indicate which thread is actually crashing?

I'll try going back 10.6 or other versions! Although not entirely sure how to do that! (ignorance alert)

I don't know how to read logs as such. haha maybe i can take a crash course in log reading.

Here is the most recent crash log where PT crashes at Varifi.

Question Re: PT 10.3.6 Startup Crash

Did you ever have an earlier version of Pro Tools installed on this system? Is your current system using an OS that was upgraded with data imported from Time Machine or Migration Assistant?

To add to Chief Technician's list when you upgrade your OS do you use the "combo update" or "software update"? (I always use the combo update)
