Sonnox Oxford are the set of plug ins designed to come with the high end digital sony consoles...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=263602_263622

They are very nice, work great, and are used in many studios as the primary set of EQ's compressors and such.

Are they better than Waves? No... in fact Waves Q series and Sonnox EQ are no better than the stock Digirack EQ that comes with pro tools. It is a proven fact that EQ's can by phase cancelled (with some minor tweeking) from one brand to another. Some brands tend to add distortion, noise, harmonics, phase, but all in all, EQ's will cancel each other out.

Dynamics tend to have characteristics people like, from workflow, to tonal character. From brand to brand not better, but different.

If you are looking for a dynamics bundle, in my opinion the best on the market is the CLA Classic Comrpessors set. By far my go to for mixing and mastering (at certain stages.)

The digirack compressor is actually pretty great. Just not for final brickwall limiting.

Best of luck to you

Sonnox plugins are nice but they're policies as a company are terrible. Be prepared that if you ever buy a Sonnox plugin your likely to lose a lot of money in fees if you ever want to move them on. Sonnox are almost, if not as bad as Waves when it comes to this. You actually have to ask Sonnox for permission to sell they're plugins.......crazy.

If your looking for a great bundle then check out McDSP, they're great sounding plugins, a great company to deal with and they don't strangle hold you like Waves and Sonnox. They're only now about to charge for an update for their plugins and thats only if you want the new features and AU support, some of their plugs have been around for 10 years and they've never charged for a compatibility update.

I use the Sonnox Elite native bundle allot! The EQs are awesome, they have curves and Q's of Neve and SSL in them. I love the Inflator and the reverb is really cool to.
