Default No waveform display when recording using 8.0.3 cs1

When recording a mix back on to a track in 8.0.3 cs1 (Mac Pro - HD3) the record waveform display became blank after a short while.

What record mode were you using - destructive record, destructive punch, QuickPunch, or standard record?

I have the same problem both on Mac and PC. If you ZOOM OUT you'll see the waveform is still there, it's just not tracking like it should. It will be there when you stop.
