Default How to Automate the "Solo" button in PT8

I often like to drop out all of the tracks except for one or two (or sometimes drop them all out) for dramatic effect. The obvious and tedious way to do this is to mute all the tracks I don't want soloed. In PT 8 (not 7) there is an option for "s mute" in the automation enable pop up. This is the pop up that lets you choose which parameters will be active for automation. I assume that "s mute" stands for "solo mute." If this is correct, then can someone please tell me out to activate it? I tried pressing the "solo" button while writing automation, but it did not record it. I was not able to locate this information in the reference guide or in post archives.

Thanks a lot for the help.

s mute stand for "sends mute"

since solo is a function made for checking something on a channel

and not for mix - it can't me automated.

if u still want to automate solo u need to select all OTHER tracks make a group out of them and then auto mute them

I'd use the "All tracks" group, make the automation and then diable the group and remove the muting from the channels you want to hear.
