Which Mac mini is best for Protools 12

Looking for opinions on this. Time to upgrade .
What are your thoughts on the following:
Apple Mac mini Apple M2 chip with 8‑core CPU and 10‑core GPU, 512GB SSD

Compatibility info here.

ARM processors require macOS 11.0 or higher whereas PT12 requires 10.13.2 or lower. So no, don't even think about it.

Thanks for the reply here. FYI, Protools 12 does work with High Sierra which is 10.13.6

After clicking on the link you sent I found this:

Pro Tools 12 will not work on *any* Apple Silicon based Mac.

Are you talking about Pro Tools 12 (which is many years old now) or Pro Tools 2023.12? They are totally different things, nobody refers to 2023.12 as Pro Tools 12.

No, I'm talking about Protools 12. I've pretty much had it with Apple frankly. They expect you to pay and pay, get rid of this, upgrade that. I'm ready to move to Logic if I do get the mini, and release myself from the Apple/Protools total incompatibility insanity!!!
I could just keep my iMac for Protools unless there's some way to make it work by upgrading/downgrading/whatevergrading onto the mac mini. It was explained to me by a rep at Sweetwater that there is a way....Thanks Apple. Thanks very much!!!

I completely understand your frustration.

Unfortunately the rep at Sweetwater must have been confused about something or misunderstood what was being asked, but as Janne said there is absolutely no way that Pro Tools 12 will run on an Apple Silicon mac. I'd just hate to see you wasting time trying, or worst buying a new Mac expecting it to work.
