Default I want to efficiently transfer my home studio from desktop pt 6.4 to laptop pt 11

I have pro tools 6.4 mbox on desktop. Honestly, I was perfectly happy with it except I couldn't run ezdrummer. My desktop has an extra internal hard drive and an external 7200 rpm hard drive. Everything (sessions) is saved to my external hard drive.

I also have a new laptop with pro tools 11. I bought another 7200 rpm external drive.

Now, I have a total of two external hard drives. One is brand new (clean) and one has all my 6.4 sessions on it.

Time to switch from desktop 6.4 to laptop 11.

Here's what I plan to do unless someone screams "STOP!".

I'm going to save my desktop 6.4 sessions to my new (clean) external hard drive. After that, I will have two external hard drives with my 6.4 sessions on them. Next, I will simply connect both external hard drives to my laptop and begin my new life with pt 11. Maybe I will put 6.4 sessions in a "6.4" folder.

If I'm making this too hard...that's a good thing.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate hearing them.

Thanks :)

when you save the sessions to the new drive:
check Mac/PC compatibly box, this will appent the .pts file to the session file so you don't get the session version error when trying to open
convert to wav files, if you have been using SD2 files
maybe screen grabs of old plugs that are not ported to aax or don't convert well
maybe render some effects for the same reason
