Default maybe why people issues with 2021.6

I have a couple of questions.

For starters, why does it say here:
https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...m-Requirements

then says here:
https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...ig-Sur-Support

one says bigger 11.4 and later
the other says bigSur 11.2.3

could this be why some people are having none/different/similar problems with PT 2021.6? maybe not everyone is on the same recommended OS?

Just a notice

The Mac OS compatibility grid says 2021.6 is compatible with 11.4. Unless you are using a Carbon interface.

Yes, if you are using a Carbon you should definitely use 11.2.3. Or 11.3. Or 11.4. Or something.......

This has been an issue as old as Pro Tools itself. That's why rigs that are required to generate revenue everyday are typically locked a few versions behind. The evolution of Pro Tools is such that it's now not possible for them to have a version that operates identically over all the variables in system configs, Hence the compatibility matrix and machine requirements. You can have a system that meets the requirements but have something else installed that could contribute to an issue. For instance plug ins or virtual instruments. It's gotten better over the years but there are still many caveats when upgrading to the latest version.

I'm having a lot of graphic glitches and sluggishness since updating. I have a 3 month old 20,1 iMac 10 core i9, but I was only able to find one with a Radeon 5300 at the time. This has been the first (mostly) stable Mac I've had in years up until this 2021.6 update. My Trashcan was trash. I tried the 2019 16 core, but it wasn't nearly as powerful as it should have been for 9k, so I returned it. I used windows for most of 2019, 2020, but I recently had to go back to Mac for Dolby Audio Bridge compatibility. Anyway.... Is a 5300 GPU seriously suddenly not enough power for pro tools with this update? That just doesn't make sense. We finally get side chain delay comp for native, so I'm going to have to deal with it, but there has to be a fix coming!? Hopefully soon!
