Slate took a very reasonable line. The company decided they wanted to focus on subscription, but they honour my Trigger 2 license and keep updating it for free.

Stating that you can continue to use your current Waves plugins is being obtuse. Of course we all end up having to update OS on a Mac and then your purchased plugins will be useless.

This is an undeniable and unfortunate truth.

I bet Waves EULA has a stipulation that the agreement can change whenever Waves feels like changing it without any warning.

Every EULA has that.
That is not always enforceable in all countries.

I think the only real avenue, is to just stop using WAVES.

AS someone said, Waves is strong arming people. There is no freedom as maybe someone like many might only use 3 or 4 plugins.
I have only seen one YT video who said, no big deal.

Slate, Plugin Alliance offers both.

I'd say if you really need it, you don't have a choice. If you use a handful that can be easily replaced, spend the money on the replacement.
And I would like the link to that Youtube video so I can leave a comment, please. That person must be on Waves payroll.

Waves has a US office which is where they pursued all the hackers using their plugins. I believe it’s in Tennessee, either Chattanooga or Knoxville. I’ll never spend another dime with them!

Isn't this exactly the kind of policy that will drive people with perpetual licenses to think about using hacked plugins? These are customers that want to use software they paid for and pay upgrade fees.

Waves reversed this silly subscription decision just today.

Well lets see if it works. I saw one user who went subscription and lost ALL of his perpetual licenses.

Have to see what happens.
