Default Carbon Footswitch

Hi everyone,

I was wondering how I could setup a foot switch to be able to punch in and out of tracks while recording myself. Is this possible via the carbons foot switch port? in the manual I only see that it can turn on and off the talk back mic.

Thanks in advance!

It's not possible with the Carbon footswitch, but I did this another route. I ordered a USB footswitch. In it's setup software, I assigned it the Pro Tools "Record" key command, and got a long enough usb extension cord to make sure the footswitch could reach my microphone. It works perfectly.

Well, his signature has a Mac and MacOS in it, and he's running a Carbon, which only runs on a Mac. So I reckon Mac.

That's correct, I am using a Mac.

Describe what you've done to set up the footswitch.

Here's the driver from their site. Install and assign the "Record" key command under the "Keyboard" tab and then click "Save to Key" at the bottom.
