Ok, I'm going back in time here for a minute. I didn't realize this thread was as old as it is.

But the question still stands: What is the upgrade path for the MPT?

I am still on 7.1 MPT.

If I upgrade to 8.x do I loose my MPT?

If I want to keep it and run 8.x do I need to upgrade to 8.x and then upgrade to the MPT2?

Can I run my MPT1 with 8.x? I don't know how that would work.

I'm going to guess that I would need to upgrade pt and the mpt.

What does just ordering the MPT2 get me?

MPT2 on 7.1?

Yes, I do the same with DVTK2.

You get Eleven LE and Structure LE for $50. It's a no-brainer.

I know the MPT is just a licence on my ilok.

MPTK1 will work with PT8. The only reason to upgrade would be to get a couple of plug-ins you might not already have.

The upgrade to MPTK2 is well worth it.

There's an MPTK 1 and an MPTK 2

The "upgrade" to MPTK 2 from MPTK 1 is 50.00, and all it gives you is Eleven LE and Structure LE
The upgrade is HERE

But...there's no difference between the actual track expansion/beat detective utility in 1 and 2
