Default Training changed my PT engine and I can't get it back.

I started to take some training from Lynda.com called "
"Get in the Mix." When I tried to load the first exercise session, my PT 10HD dropped a window that said. "The playback engine cannot accept 44.1." It gave me and OK to choose and then crashed when I clicked it.

When I open ProTools again (not with that session) I went to Hardware and it says "Location Sound 5.1." It offered no way to get rid of it and said setup is in the startup menu. I went to Playback Engine and it was also set to Location
Sound 5.1. I changed it to HD-TDM and closed the window, but it crashed again saying it was an insertion error.

I am panicking because I can't seem to get off of this Location Sound 5.1 Hardware setting and get back to HD-TDM. Will I have to reinstall Pro
Tools to fix this?

I hope someone can help me get going again. I guess I sure won't be takiing that Lynda ProTools course. At least not with the exercise files!

I have a MacPro 3,1 with 16 gb ram, running OSX10.8.3 and ProTools 10.3.5 HD with a 96i, Sync and HD PCieCard.

Here's the message I get when I try to open an existing session now.

Hi Steve

I would start by trashing preferences and dae folders etc and restart. Then when you open PT again with the "N" key held down, see if you can choose PT TDM again. We have been in the same boat a few years ago and we did this and everything went back to normal after these steps.

Don't forget to start PT after this and hold down the N key until you can choose HD TDM in the menu

Best Of Luck
