Default Music notation

Is anyone using anything other than Sibelius for notation from ptle 7.3.x?

Is there any other way to export midi so it can be seen in some sort of stave view format (Rewire e.g.)?

Any kind of weird or beta workaround?

Thanks,
Dave

I use Sibelius. It's the only one that is semi-integrated into Pro Tools, and the one I imagine will be fully integrated with Pro Tools at some point in the future. (most likely via the new two way MIDI rewire functionality that is coming with PT 7.4)

Most modern notation software (Finale, MagicScore, SongWorks, etc, etc) is capable of importing MIDI files that you would export from Pro Tools.

I use Finale since several years.
The Sibelius integration is a nice thing and like spkguitar says, if want to use another app
you have to export a midifile and then import it. Not a big deal.
So I for the moment stay with Finale.

sibelius seems to be too expensive for me~

honestly~ I don't think ppl would need any like VST plugin or stuff like that in the sibelius cuz we finish these stuff in pt already.

but becuz of that we have to pay like 499 to buy a notation software!!

nonsense~!!

or

is that possible that I buy sibelius student edition(only 89$) and still using sending funtion in pt??(I remember the student one just lacks the some playback funtions but not lacks anything on writing notation)

if I can'T` maybe I will buy other software that has lower price but still funtion well on writing notation
