First uninstall Protools completely and then reinstall. Start there. Also, Run Protools as an administrator if you are on a windows machine.

10.3.5 should be an update bro

That means do not uninstall 10.3.4 - 10.3.5 goes right on top

And if you did - you need 10.3.2 which was the latest full installer - as far as I remember

YYR123,

Just for your info, 10.3.5 is a full installer.

This is copied from the Avid Knowlwdge Base, Pro Tools 10.3.5 Info & Downloads.

Installation
Pro Tools 10.3.5 is a full installer
Avid recommends uninstalling your current version prior to installing 10.3.5 (reinstall the Drivers for your interface after a Clean Uninstall)
Pro Tools 10.x uses a single installer for both Pro Tools and Pro Tools HD. The installation is the same for both, only the iLok authorization is different
See the Pro Tools 10.3 Software Installation Guide for complete instructions

Whoo hoo - op should be good then

For what it's worth they usually don't make the last dot release the full installer but that's cool

I would trash my prefs then try it again

Since there is also some update/change with ilok on this version, having your computer connected to the internet might make the difference between success and failure. My machine does not usually see the internet, but I happened to have it connected and my update went without a hitch.

You should have uninstalled avid effects as well.. The plugins should automatically be set up with the installation of 10.3.5

Now that you have it running, it would be a good idea to make an image of your system drive to insure you against any future problems. It's far easier to reinstate an image than to have to uninstall/reinstall
