Unhappy 003 problem with PT10.2 Crash

I had a PowerG5 working with my digi003 board just fine . When my PowerG5 finally broke down on me this year, I upgraded to a mac pro. I installed the latest version of OS X Lion, not knowing that my LE 8.0 was not compatible . So I upgraded to the latest version of pro tools 10.2 & when i try to open pro tools, it loads up about a quarter of the way & then it crashes . It dose this all the time, it won't let me open pro tools at all. Here is my mac info & the error that keeps popping up. If u can help me out in anyway I would much appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Default Re: 003 problem with PT10.2 Crash

I am experiencing this with PT 10.2 using an 11 rack and a 002 rack which are both hooked up to my computer (see signature). I have uninstalled and reinstalled Pro Tools 10.2 and the drivers for both recording interfaces and I have done the whole repair disk permissions thing (uninstall->repair permission->restart->install PT 10.2->install drivers for 002 and 11 racks->restart->repair permissions->pro tools hates me. Still receiving the error, and it happens immediately after I open PT. I have been working on this all day and I hope I can get it ready for 6pm Dx
... my order is wrong isn't it? I'm just going to hit my head against a brick until I think this is working.

Default Re: 003 problem with PT10.2 Crash

Okay so this worked for me, maybe it will work for you:
1-Clean uninstall of PT
2-Restart
3-Repair Disk Permissions
4-Restart
5-Install Driver for Recording Interface
6-Restart
7-Repair Disk Permissions
8-Restart
~I had to do steps 5-8 twice because I have 002 rack and 11 rack interfaces
9-Install PT 10.2
10-Restart
11-Repair Disk Permissions
12-Restart
13- It loaded a bit more and then said that 002 rack wasn't connected so I did steps 11-12 again and viola! I can record. Just in time for a paying customer! I admit that I did a dance that involved hip gyrations.

Default Re: 003 problem with PT10.2 Crash

Hey guys,

When you upgrade your PT software you also have to update the firmware in your 002. Just search for "Update Firmware Digidesign 002" and you should find directions.... Once the firmware is updated (it takes a long time to do) start PT and it should work as it did...

Did you install the current Digi 003 drivers when you installed PT 10.2? It requires a separate download and install. Also, when I upgraded to PT 10.0 I also upgraded the firmware on the 003.

Looks like a crash in the Melodyne Rewire plug-in. Make sure you are running the latest version. If you are, I suggest contacting Melodyne.
