Default PT 10.3.4 is creating automation points.

Hi guys,

It is me or PT 10.3.4 is creating automation points each time I trim with my trim start, trim end key short cuts?

No it's not just you I was already searching for "trim to start creates automation breakpoints" on the DUC to see if someone posted about this.

10.3.4 does it here as well. And having the automation follows edit button on or off doesn't make a difference. After a trim to start PT places a breakpoint.

Very annoying. I was constantly having those moments that changes in my mix didn't make a difference because when I moved a fader it automatched back. At first I didn't notice it so I was constantly making wrong mix choices. It took me some minutes to realize what was happening.

That's a known bug that should be fixed in the next update.

For now, you can work around it by just using delete after selecting what you don't want. Or use B for break at an insert point and then select and delete the piece you don't want.

Thanks Matt for chiming in.

Would that be Pro Tools 11 where it's fixed?

Yeah, this started noticeably happening for me in 10.3.2 and seemed to be fixed in 10.3.3 ...

Now it's back in 10.3.4 ... Hassle!

I started having this problem when I updated, but turning off the Automation Follows Edit button fixed the problem for me...

Can you post a step-by-step to reproduce? While some versions prior to 10.3.4 had this issue, I'm not seeing it on 10.3.4.
