Popping/Clicking/Audible Noise Recording/Playback
I currently own a Windows machine, processing with well above the recommended requirements for AMD-based processors, and well above the recommended RAM requirements. I currently have all of my playback settings set to their lowest, recording at 48 khz. I am using a Projectmix I/O with M-Powered 7.1.
I can record a track without no popping clicking if I record the track with no stops and no punch-ins. However, when I do punch in at a certain point, at the start of the punch, it has an audible click when I play it back. I own one of the Digidesign certified Firewire cards along with mediocre firewire drives (Fantom... which may be the problem but I do not know). Is there any way to fix this popping? Could it possibly be a problem other than my Firewire drives? I hate having the punch-in sound like I punched in (lol) |

Re: Popping/Clicking/Audible Noise Recording/Playb
It sounds like you may just need to create a crossfade between the punch and the rest of the track.
