TDM will not work on an HDX.

Correct. The HDX cards require plugins in the AAX DSP format to work with the DSP's on the HDX cards.

Pro Tools 10 does allow you to use the Rtas equivalents of your TDM versions though and will automatically open up your older sessions replacing your TDM inserts as follows on the HDX system :

- look for AAX DSP equivalents and use those
- look for AAX native equivalents and use those
- look for rtas equivalents and use those

Most TDM plugins also run as RTAS so you should be able to open up your TDM sessions just fine on a HDX system

Thx a lot for the information. That´s really not good for me, because I have got most PlugIns on TDM. It is not acceptabel for me to run all the PlugIns now as RTAS to suck the power of my compter away! And: The TDM-PlugIns sounds definitly better then the RTAS, and I have payed a lot of money more for the TDM-Stuff. F**k!

What the hell is AVID doing there? I think I will not switch to the new HDX-cards, I will stay on HD (they are more reduced in price).

Thx a lot!
Best Regards from Berlin,
Alexander.

TDM died 10 years ago when Motorola stopped development of the 56k family of DSP chips that TDM is based on
