2 pro tools questions

Forgive me for I am brand new in the pro tools world..
First question is important. every time I launch pro tools the iLok wants to run to register/activate... how do I make it so i never get that again when I want to run pro tools?

2: I watched the supplied tutorial DVD and I am still uncertain about something.. this mainly pertains to Boom.

I made a drum loop an I want to record it into the track to go with my composition. I know with a regular record, lets say, piano, you just hit record, then play, and play the piece to be recorded, right?

How do I record a drum loop to the main composition screen in Boom?

1. Register your copy.

2. Send the output of Boom to a bus and create an audio track. Set the input of that audio track to receive the same bus. Record.

thanks man, When I get out of work I'll try that. I just got an email from digidesign about my product registration.. So I'll boot up and see if it yells at me again for the ilok.
