HELP!!! PT Start up Error message!!!! WTF!!!

ok so i was trying to load up sum new things on to my Vista PC i am running PT LE 8 and it was working just fine, but my dum *** is a junking 4 plug-in's and when i went to open the my PT LE 8 its starts up and runs fine but then out of no where i get this message on my screen:

"could not complete your request because Access violation occurred, unable to read location: 0x0B,C65,A4F ay address: 0x6C,895,7BD in moudule: MSVCR80,dll."

after i press "OK" in the box it looks like PT is trying to load but it will not respond to a thing i do but the rest of my stuff works like the "Start" and all that

I unistaled all the thing that i had put on my PC alredy and i still get the same message

What exactly were you trying to install?

You can try trashing your prefs and restarting.

ok so i am just going to uninstall PT LE 8 and try a re-install it and see if that helps ill let you know............

i was trying to just load up sum new plug-ins but i uninstaled all the plug-ins i had on it and i got the same thing still

It really would help us to be able to help you if you told us WHICH plugins SPECIFICALLY. There are some that can be troublesome and would require extra steps besides "uninstalling".

Try updating .NET 2.0..... Running Windows Update might help.

OK........so now i did the un-install re-install and the error massage ("could not complete your request because Access violation occurred, unable to read location: 0x0B,C65,A4F ay address: 0x6C,895,7BD in moudule: MSVCR80,dll.")is now gone ...................BUT (ugg) now i have a new error massage that pops up while trying to open PT LE 8 and it says..........("Could not complete your reqest because and Access violation occurred").....ok so i think that might be a lil bit better........where do i go from this point i have no Plug-ins loaded on to PT's yet (FYI) thanks so much!! every 1 for all the help

BEWARE if you're running Windows Update to NOT install Internet Explorer 8. It has been known (in most ALL cases, btw) to ruin Pro Tools installations as well as other previously operating programs.
Secondly, these new plugins you're installing...do they need I-lok authorizations? (Most of them do...)

Did you torrent your plug-ins?
