Default pro tools doesn't start I need help

when I try to start pro tools I get this error msg.
[Pro tools 9 cannot run due to the following error:
this product cannot run because of problems communicating with core component. Please try reinstalling the software. If that fails, contact the software publisher for support.]
and after that msg it gives this error [ error, missing ilok authorization for pro tools 9". please insert the necessary ilok to continue.]
I so tired of this I spent 600$ for software that I cant use, avid needs to do something about this, my interface is a Presonus project mix, and I'm running snow leopard 10.6.6 on a mac pro. If any one has any idea whats wrong pleas reply thanks.

Have you installed the latest audio drivers for your project mix? Have you installed the iLok key? Have you even activated the PT license on your iLok? Tell us more about what you HAVE done to try to fix the problem. Also try to tell us about the steps you took from start to finish on the install.

I think I found what the problem is, when I open the digidesign coreaudio manager it shows unsupported device and the status is not connected HW not found. so I reinstalled the latest driver from presonus but still no success

yes iv done all that and no there was no hiccup when I added the PT9 lisence on my ilok account, It doesn't matter which usb port put the ilok it still asks for it. Is it possible that my presonus hardware is not compatible with PT9?

Yes it is.

Here's a question: Have you determined whether the HW can be seen by OS X's Audio/MIDI setup or another application like iTunes?

Or a quick way to help see if it is a hardware problem. Try and startup pro tools on core audio without your presonus plugged in.
