Sorry, no idea. I don't have a w10 PT install left. (didn't see them pre upgrade, but I only used my home setup very occasionally)

Hey guys,

I am happy for you, having no (big) issues so far with Win11 & Pro Tools.

Unfortunately I am not (yet) with you.

Two days ago I built a new PC system, installed
win11-Pro (no upgrade from win10),
drivers of MOBO, Graphics Card and Audio (Avid Eleven Rack),
vegas pro 18 and
pro tools 11.3 (which was running on my previous win10-system).

From then on i got bluescreens when booting/rebooting.

Error message: "page fault in non paged area" - "tpkd.sys"
I came to know this is not a new error message. However it is new for me and didn't happen on my previous system.

I completely reinstalled win11 because i was not able to boot (not even in safe mode), installed just PT11.3 this time and here i am again. same bluescreen, same failure message. So, obviously my PT and win11 are no friends?!

MSI Pro Z690 A - WIFI DDR4
i9-12900K
Crucial DIMM 32 GB DDR4-3200 Kit
Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 (take-over from old system)
Samsung 980 PRO 2 TB PCIe 4.0
be quiet! STRAIGHT POWER 11 Platinum - 750 W
Fractal Design - Define R5 ATX MidTower

Pro Tools 11.3
Avid Eleven Rack with latest drivers (Audio works through the 11R)

Any ideas? Please help. :-/ Thanks!

Yet another Windows 11/Pro Tools success story. A couple days ago, Windows (finally) pushed-out the Windows 11 update for my Intel 11th gen/Gigabyte desktop build. Today after I finished my session, I went for it. As others here have already reported: The Windows 11 update process was super-smooth & everything seems to just work! No issues to report! Hooray! I did go through all system & control panels settings, & no big surprises there either. Well done!

Someone else commented that the edit window comment bug has been present for a while, on W10 as well.

I should start testing soon with Windows 11. Been putting it off until some of the issues are worked out.

Recently fixed a write speed issue where C: drive writes (even on Nvme) were cut in about half. Then keep track of the KB update lists. They were still pushing out performance and major issue updates. They seem to getting more minor in updates lately.

Microsoft fixed the C drive write speed issue on Dec 10th: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/mi...-in-windows-11 No issues here to report; Pro Tools on W11 just works.

First of all, you need Pro Tools 12.5 or newer on Windows 10 or 11. Regarding your current issue, try this: https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/...ror-windows-10
