Default favorite intelligent mouse shortcuts?

I have a logitech trackball with some extra programmable buttons. I found the copy and paste and undo to be useful functions to be programmed onto their dedicated buttons. Anyone else figured out cool things?

My opinon:

Get a track ball with 3 extra buttons (4 total). One is for regular clicking, the other three are assigned to F6, F7 and F8, Trimmer, selector and grabber. You'll never have to reach for another tool again, except when you occasionally need the pencil tool or something. I use R and T with my left hand for all the zooming.

For speed and efficiency, I think it's the only way to go. Fast as lighting.

Hey, great idea Sunzate!

Unfortunately logitech drivers afaik are not assignable to the F6 F7 F8. What Trackball do you recommend?

Thanks -tr

I use the Kensington Expert Mouse. It has 4 easy to reach buttons, and a big special scroll wheel which is GREAT for moving around in the session, vertically AND horizontally (you hold shift and the session slides left and right). Check it out.

I have a 5 button w/scroll optical mouse made by Logitech.

The left, right, and scroll functions remain the same, but the 3 extra buttons (extra left, extra right, and scroll as button) I have programmed to f6, f7, & f8.

I also have my keyboard remapped for the following keys which sit next to each other to the write of the space bar:

RIGHT WIN -> edit mode toggle between SHUFFLE, SLIP, SPOT & GRID
RIGHT CNTRL -> "-" for toggling between volume automation & wave editing
RIGHT PRINT -> delete

There is a free download called Windows Resource Kit Tools. Simply google it.

Within that there is an application called remapkey which is straight forward and easy to use..
