PT 32t beta weird error- "an assertion occurred..."

I was trying to open an old session, and it reads the audio files etc.. looks like it's gonna work, then it stops with this weird error:
"An Assertion Occurred FF_AudioProperty -cpp, line 32"
it's getting stuck on a library call? why? what's it doing...?

oops sorry, that's "FF_AudioProperty.cpp, line 32"

tried making a new session and importing the tracks, but same thing. problem with some piece of audio? plus PT quit out with a type 2.

I'm on it also with this one.. I use the Beta with the old DAE and everything runs fine until today and the exact same error and tries..

My old session was a pro-tools 4 session created with omf tools 1.12..it was an omf export from an Avid media composer 5..

A fix is possible ?? I think we have to wait for the final release..

Just a little more words to say that, the session was opened smoothly with Protools LE 5.1.1

In the past, this error has been caused by corrupted fade files.

Trashing the Fade Files folder and letting Pro Tools rebuild them typically solves the problem.

i found a work-around, i will go back and try to trash fades to see if that helps the old one.

BTW, just thought i should say that pretty much everything else about this 32 track beta is working beautifully! thanks! it really helped to have the 32 tracks available, i've been working on a 16-channel spatialized audio piece for the Transparent Tape Music Festival ( http://www.sfsound.org/tape.html) and i have been working on it as two sets of 8 stereo pairs.
