I don't have the drum machine yet, but I am wondering for future reference, what I plug into what...
I want to basically use my synth as a controller, and trigger the drum sounds that are in the drum machine. then of course sequence in Protools LE. I'd like to know what midi cables go where and from what to waht to make everything work together. I am new to MIDI, so it's all kinda vague to me. - kip

If you plan on triggering from your keyboard & sequencing in PT, then why would you get a drum machine? Drum machines typically have sequencers inside them. You'd be paying for something that you will not use. Perhaps you should invest in a sound module or sampler instead.
You'd connect the MIDI out on the 001 to the input of the sound module btw. I have an Emu-Orbit for sale $400 Has hundreds of excellent drums, bass, synths, strings, pads alaluna@pacbell.net
