does eleven rack make LE out of the box ?

unless Russ can show me some tricks for vocals on this then i have no use for it. But avid has mad me a proud fan boy today now i can tell those logic heads to s*ck it. and hopefully this is just the beginning
does the dsp make it out the box and can u use it with 003 or will they push the command8 (witch its time for a new one)

I'm reading your question as being "Does Eleven Rack function as a Pro Tools LE interface and come with a copy of PTLE"

From what I read of the manual, yes

The DSP stays in the box although you could theoretically run tracks out to the interface and then re record them using the effects and models.

You can use it with the 003 but you will need to cable it in since the USB cable will only transfer data when both units are active.

That is correct.

You can also run any input, including the Mic, through the Rig effects.

You can use it with a 003 just like you would with any other hardware effect device, either as a hardware IO or a send/return, and control it using the Eleven window in Pro Tools.

Yes, absolutely, as long as the Eleven Rack is the primary interface - if it's not (when used with an HD or MP system for instance) only the physical IO can be used, though you can route any input to an output for recording.

So what you are saying is, if you use it with 002/003 products, it needs to be treated like an I/O expansion? (like a S/PDIF preamp?)

The two units cannot be used as I/O in PT at the same time?

We knew this would be an issue with some - as I mentioned in a different thread, the reason it wasn't implemented this way is that the whole mechanism for how PT detects interfaces would need to be reworked and which would require a significant amount of engineering time and would have a massive impact on all current projects, causing delays - something we cannot afford right now. We felt that engineering time was better spent on other projects and to keep things on schedule.

Yes! Any input can be run through the 'Rig' chain and you can order fx/cabs/amp any way you like. You can also tap off the chain anywhere and send that tap to a discrete output on the Eleven Rack.
