Re: "isus" folder after installation
There's an update.ini file which tells Application Manager your UserID but that folder should be hidden from Finder. If for some reason it isn't, here's a Terminal command to hide it:
Code:
chflags hidden ~/isus

Re: "isus" folder after installation
thanks for the info!
But in such situations i always ask myself: why don´t they just do these files and folders in their own folder (f.e. Applications/Avid/isus/)???

Re: "isus" folder after installation
I don't know, but as this seems to be tied to user, then the user home folder is the proper place for it. Beats me why it is not in the user library, though.

Re: "isus" folder after installation
Java related. App manager uses java. Creation of this folder is a bug and has been logged.

I'm just relieved that it's not spyware from Avid's extremist militant faction

I have no idea, but why wouldn't you just hide it, therefore if it is needed it would still be there?

Basically, I am OCD. And if a pimple is there, I cringe at just covering it with make-up. lol If this is indeed a bug, who is to say this folder is not doing some damage ? Me personally, I'd like to get rid of it, or have it go in the proper place. Kinda been tripping on all these App makers lately. It seems neatly organizing the components and things that run their App is a thing of the past. Now there is stuff straggled out all over my system to to user, etc.. Not neat, like it used to be. IMO, everything from Avid should be in the Avid folder. I cringed when I seen Application Manager was installed in the Applications by itself. I installed the AIR and Xpand content on a library drive right... plug ins themselves on the OS drive. When I went to look at everything, in the content folder on the library drive are a bunch of plug ins ! And some other weird stupid unneeded stuff. Content is content, leave it at that. Now that drive looks sloppy :-( I don't know what I can delete or not. lol So if I do decide to hide it, how would I get it back if someone chimes in here and tells us it should be moved ?
