Default MTRX sync issue with incoming AES/EBU

I run an Atmos mixing/monitoring system at my studio with a MTRX 1 system running on internal sync. Sometimes I want to make use of the AES/EBU inputs from my pioneer DJM v10 mixer. The mixer does not have word clock connector and I can select the sample rate on the mixer to be 48k, which is what I am running for full studio. But I can't seem to get the MTRX to lock to the mixer in any way.

It shows that the connection is there, but it flashes between green and yellow on the AES column. Which means sync is not working. I have tried to troubleshoot by setting the MTRX to sync to the incoming AES/EBU signal, but that does nothing.

I've tried sending in the AES by coax connection as well as the different AES/EBU breakout ports. And I know my breakout cables work because I am using AES/EBU as output to my room monitors.

I use Dante I/O in my room as well, to output to various monitors in my room, in conjunction with AES/EBU. And my Atmos renderer is connected via MADI.

Am I doing something wrong when I'm trying to sync the MTRX to the mixer's incoming signal? I can momentarily forego the other devices in order to sync to the incoming DJ mixer signal. But maybe that screws up the sync. Maybe the Dante is preventing proper sync as wel.

I also read something somewhere about splitting an AES signal. Is this what I should be doing in order to allow the MTRX to accept the digital audio and the clock from the mixer?

Thanks,

Greetings,

Can you verify what version of DADman and what firmware version (maincpu) you are running in your MTRX I?

Can you also specify how you have the following params set on the DJM:
Ref Level, Sample Rate, Mono/Stereo

Also, are you in Switched mode or Sum mode assuming you are routing into a monitor in your monitor profile?

A few screen grabs showing the inputs in DADman wouldn't be bad either.

best,

Jeff

Thanks so much for your fast response! Updating DadMan and the MTRX firmware has fixed my issue.
