Default DMA with XP?

How do you check the DMA box for the hardrives in XP?

I know in 98 it was in device manager but I don't see the option in xp?

You have to go into the properties for your actual IDE controllers... on my system (Soyo Dragon board) the category in device manager is called "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers." Right click into the properties and hit the Advanced Settings tab - set them all to "DMA if available." That's it!
