Default TASCAM US428

Is anyone using the US428 as a Pro Tools control surface,
and are you experiencing any problems with fader movements crashing the computer?
I will occasionally get the dreaded Windows blue screen of death, and a "SYSTEM BUSY"
message. Sometimes this removes the 428 as a midi controller, sometimes it lets me pick
up where I left off after rebooting. Fader moves are the only thing that cause this.
The TASCAM rep I talked to said he's never heard of it before. Ideas appreciated!
