Holy Smoke white Noise My speakers

Ohh god
Was working away quite happly today remixing till i got an almighty
feedback noise from no were ..... I just caught it intime and turned my monitors
off before i nearly blow them off the wall as i like to here them quit load....

If this is what the update's done AVID better get ready for some legal payouts for blown monitors and peoples hearing >>>> It's really not funny and needs to be sorted ASP

P.S. no wonder people are looking at reaper at the moment.

What exactly was it? The white noise burst and feedback are two different things. Here is a video demonstration of the WNB. Is that what you were hearing?

Hi it was the white noise but continues burst like you would get on a bad feedback!!!!! That loud i froze on the spot but dived for the monitor nobb on my m box pro 2 and turned it down then stopped the track... just in time to safe my monitors ...I cant belive that they can release an update like this!!!

Im thinking of going back to 7.4 never had so many problems .. how very sad for ProTools since every over DAW has upped there game.

Hands-down favorite right now seems to be 8.0.1 on 32-bit XP PRO. That 8.0.3 update was worthless.
