Core-audio & Apple\'s Soundtrack ...?
In the compatibility docs Final Cut Pro and Garageband are listed but not Soundtrack (which is now included in FCE). Why can't I record using 002r with Soundtrack. Am I missing something?

While you should be able to record using Soundtrack, it has not been specifically tested, which is why it is not listed in the compatible applications list.
Soundtrack gets it's settings from the Sound control panel in your System Preferences panel - make sure it's set to Digi HW and you should be able to record and play back in Soundtrack. If you're using Core Audio 6.4 or earlier, you will need to add Soundtrack to the supported applications list.
