Default Alignment phase correction plug in ?
Anyone have preference as to which is a good one for drums?

The built-in one is okay, but Eventide's is much better.

Another vote for Eventide Precision Time Align/Precision Delay plugin.

Was on sale recently for $29.

Until this moment, I've been unaware of the Eventide plug!

This looks to be a lot less "sciencey" than Waves' InPhase. I'll pay attention for another sale!

I was looking at about align , a little pricey but looks easy to use. Might have to look at eventide

I was watching Auto Align tutorial and they have you align everything to the overheads. Would it be better to align the overheads together then align DLL closed mic drums together? What I mean is have 2 separate groups ke Ed ping them separate to keep the stereo image of the over heads? Any thoughts on how you use Auto Align

Why? The point of alignment is phase. If the difference is great enough (timing delays), then phase alignment is unnecessary. We get spatial cues from delay/phase (besides level and reflections). You make these things work for you. Overheads are meant to capture the full drum set “close”. Room mics capture the bigger space (and therefore are delayed enough to not have massive phase issues.) if your close mics are aligned to overheads, then they are already aligned to each other. And reinforce the overhead signal.
