setup question
ok, here I go: I've got a Roland JP-8000, used as a sound module, with the midi ins and outs connected to a Korg EA-1, which I'm using as a step sequencer. If I want to sync the clock of the EA-1 to pro tools le, what do I need to do? The only free MIDI plug is the "thru" on the EA-1, and I have a MIDIsport 8x8 with a number of unused ins and outs...I just don't know where to go from here. Thanks!

Re: setup question
If you connect the Midi Thru to In on the MIDI sport and Have the Sequencer generate Midi Beat Clock and put ProTools in recieve Sync from The In Port on your Session Start Up window...when you hit play on the Sequencer ProTools should chase.....Try it out....if Not when your done Programming disconnect the In on the sequencer from your JP 8000....You won't need it if your tracking since your sequencer is Spitting out all the messages....and Send Midi Out from MIDI Sport to the In of the sequencer and Make sure MIDI Beat Clock is Enabled and press play/record and your sequencer should chase...give the sequencer a bar up front...gives it enough time to catch up...email me if you have any questions or don't under stand
