Default AUDIO FILE NAMING

I was wondering if there's a more defined way of naming Audio files that get recorded - eg: I know that the Track Name (if named before recording) will be what the audio file is called within that songs Parent Folder, but is there a way of associating the SONG NAME with each audio track that gets recorded - instead of just having GUITAR-1 / GUITAR-2 / LAP STEEL / etc etc. (other than putting the Song Name on each Track)

As these are common to most songs I record, if things get lost for whatever reason, there will be zillions of "GUITAR-1" files but no way of associating them with a song other than playing each file and trying to figure out which song it came from.

I hope I've explained this clearly, and if someone has a suggestion I'd love to hear it.

Thanks in advance.......

Default Re: AUDIO FILE NAMING

The only thing I can think of is renaming every audio file in the window on the right. That's the same amount of work as including the song name in the track titles before recording though. I'd like to hear a better way myself.

OK...thanks....so do you mean change the names in the "Regions" list on right side of the Edit window?

If so, does this also change the Audio file name on the Hard Disc where it is stored?
