auto matching pull factors + frame rate + timecode rate
Hypothetically, if I am working on a project that's being edited on 29.97 frames per second on the picture editor's editing system and for one reason or another, I have had to work on the sound design using 23.97 as my PT session timecode rate.
Am I correct to assume if that I go to my session setup and change my session timecode to 29.97 frames with "auto pull match" checked, that when I export my audio stems, the stems will sync up properly with the picture editor's editing session of 29.97 frames? thanks in advance Jack |

Re: auto matching pull factors + frame rate + timecode rate
Quote:
ALL audio for video should be delivered at EXACTLY 48kHz, no pullup or pulldown. So, if your original session is 48kHz AND no pullup/down was checked in Pro Tools, the audio is already running at the right speed. There is an exact 3:2 relationship between 29.97 and 23.976 which does not require any change of playback speed. No pullup/pulldown is wanted. |
