Default Wav files in PT11

So is it just me or does it sound really strange that I cant use wav files in PT11 unless they have been converted in PT10 first....

What is the defacto standard for drum loops and such.....sure as shooting ain't MP3.

I may be wrong or missing something but this seems very strange.

What!? Just tried to import 5 different Wav files and no issues at all.

We don't even use PT10HD anymore and we only import wav file samples into PT11HD without issues so there has to be something else wrong with your setup .. Very strange indeed

See I know im tired...thats why i just went for a Tea.....Sorry.

Pro Tools 11 does not allow import of WMA files (PTSW-181506)
If you attempt to import a WMA file into a Pro Tools 11 session, Pro Tools cannot convert the file and posts a “file is unreadable”
message. Co-install Pro Tools 10.3.6 (or higher) on the same system, import the WMA file, and convert it to a format supported by
Pro Tools 11.

I could jump in here with some snide comment to add to the feeding frenzy...but since I've committed several stupid blunders myself over the years...well, charity begins at home! (I may need you to remember that some day!)
