I'd say the Axiom Pro comes off way better for Pro Tools in the video, much slicker and better construction than the SL (even though it's Rob Jones!)

You don't believe his 'I'm a freelance video and music producer' comment then Russ and think there may be a little bias?

I was more expecting a Qwerty keyboardless workflow from Phil Jackson, changing HyperControl assignments and Pages, stepping through Presets, a dive into Group N & P, Zones for Keyswitches, you know, a more indepth tour.

I own the Axiom Pro 61 and have had numerous Novation controllers in the past. If you watch the Phil Jackson video he really emphasizes the action and I agree. For a semi-weight action it responds very nicely and gives you a lot of control. I much prefer it over the Novation. Also, Automap runs as a separate application. I prefer the approach integrated approach of HyperControl. The Axiom Pro feels pretty good all around. The Novations are very slick controllers but I enjoy playing the Axiom Pro much more.

I have the Axiom Pro 61. A recent firmware upgrade provided to me via email from M-Audio tech support fixed a number of little bugs and increased reliability. I also prefer hypercontrol to programming anything. I also agree that additional software for the Novation is not the way to go with PT.

Filo, that link takes you to M-Audio TV, but all I got was some guy dull guy singing. You need to go to the Product Demos section on the right and then scan down to the Axiom Pro tips and tricks at the bottom.
