Relink or Re-indexing audio files to Protools filles
Help guys, I finished a session of 13 songs and after all was done I simply renamed the songs to their official titles and now they won't come up or can't find the files... what is the best way to re-index or re-link the session and audio files together. PT 7.1 Thanks |

Do you mean you renamed the ptf file? If so, what about opening the last session (before the rename) from the backups folder (created by default in the session folder)? Then, use 'save as'.

Yes, I did rename the PTF file name, then when I saw what it was doing I renamed them
back and thats when it jumbled up the audio files. The folder is there with the PTF files but alot of them snagged the same audio file when it searched for the audio file and so several songs are all the same!!! not sure how to see what audio file goes with what song?? I don't see the backup file at all!!! Surely their is a way to clear up that mistake ... I won't do that one again!!! Thanks and appreciate your help!! Tony |
