I install the Pro Tools update from Avid Link but after the installation, Pro Tools is not installed! when I try to install it again it’s the same old garbage - no Pro Tools. Why are there always so many issues with simple installation of Avid products? I am once again dead in the water

Most of us NEVER use AvidLink. Log in to your Avid Master account and under the products section, download the full installer for your operating system. This is also a good way to keep a copy of the installer should you need it in the future. This method has always worked for me.

Thanks - I will give it a try. I’m puzzled why Avid Link even exists as it has been nothing but trouble since day one.

Exactly. Thank you. It acts as a reminder when anything needs updating, but doesn't seem to work when you ask it to upgrade for you. Other than that, it just keeps advertising a bunch of stuff that I don't own or need.
