This is totally Audiodeluxe doing this. Avid has never discounted Protools, even the day before they release a new version. That's one of the reasons people get so upset with the cutoff dates (previous 2 weeks, or 30 days, etc.).

It could be that demand has slowed down, i.e., most people that wanted PT11 by now have gotten it. So dealers could be more aggressive with sales.

That's not to say that you couldn't be right. Typically it's been a year and a half to two years between versions, but 9 to 10 was only 1 year.

NAB coming up in April would be a time to watch for it. If not then, then it probably won't be until AES in October.

they need to fix the plethora of bugs in PT 11 BEFORE PT 12 does out!

oh and Avid fix the VI delay composition bug too!

That's just a Valentine's Day promotion from AD - look at the promo code. No idea how long it will last though. Probably not long if/when Avid sees that.
