Question Avid what about extra I/O cards???

What about extra I/O cards? Is there any movement on (2)192's w/24ch I/O to (1) HDio 16x16?

I do not have an answer for that - I'm not in sales, but I'll try to find out for you. Typically unless it's specifically stated, there are no 'options'. In this case interfaces with extra IO should have the additional IO removed and sold separately.

Hi Corp,

I assume you mean for I/O exchanges? The I/O exchange from a Blue Digidesign 192 to HD I/O 8x8x8 is for any and all configurations. So whether your blue is 8x8 or 16x8 doesn't matter. The exchange value assumes the maximum configuration.

If you would like extra I/O on the HD I/O, you can purchase the additional I/O cards separately.

Hope that helps.

Then, I assume the best way to do that is to keep a 192 loaded with I/O cards and exchange the one with minimum configuration. It looks like Avid won't acknowledge us if we have purchased extra cards for our 192s and prefer having us going thru the $$$ all over again. Unless a more generous offer is under the hood ?

Question Re: Avid what about extra I/O cards???

Max,

Since I'm restricted from Avid to convey my true opinion of this deal my question to Max is: If Avid is not noticing extra cards that have been purchased just like purchasing a 192 then is it possible to apply two basic 192's towards one HDio 16x16 and what would that exchange work out to be in cost?? "I only want an answer from an Avid representative no helpful little elves!"

Question Re: Avid what about extra I/O cards???

Max,

Dealers are saying they can't answer questions because nothing in stone... Will thing be in stone by end of this year or beginning of next?

Only Avid rep.
