Since there are no new features in PT12, that must mean it is just a bug fix update from PT11. What bugs from 11 did they fix in 12?

Also, I thought PT11 was the foundation for the new system?

What if Avid changes direction again and makes the versionless Protools 13.^254-973trp-root*beer the new foundation for the new new system?

Oddly enough, I am still on 11 native, but have not had the same problems recently such as memory error with crash. No recent manual upgrades, just loaded 11.3.1 when it came available. Had same issues at first, and thought nothing had been resolved but lately all is well. It's very weird waiting for the crash that doesn't happen.
I am now wondering if the program may do automatic updates like the OS or a cell phone.

12 contains the "hooks" for the new cloud collab stuff. It may not appear much different than 11, but it surely is under the hood.
