Default version 2.8

Hey group.

My Profile is running an older version of the D-Show software (2.6.3). I put in an order with our vendor about 2 weeks ago. Last Friday, the sales rep called me back and said he had spoken with AVID and they were back ordered. Anyone else have/had this issue? Any idea when it will be available?

Also, is this something I could get through Digidelivery?

-Ken

Check around, I doubt that AVID is having an issue delivering discs. It's probably the vendor that is back ordered. Sweetwater and several other online vendors carry the AVID consoles and I'm sure Brad Lyons (who's on the DUC all the time) would be more than happy to sell you an upgrade.

I had this same experience earlier this year when I tried to upgrade. I don't know why they don't make the installer discs available through AVID directly in the Avid store like they do with the DVD bundles for Pro Tools HD and LE. I did finally get mine through the local vendor that sold me the console. It seems like a point of failure since the vendor makes no money on it, and typically the local vendor deals with large install projects, not $150 software upgrades, yet Avid insists on sourcing the upgrading through the local vendor.
