Just found an unopened PT7HD box
So I was cleaning out old gear and I found a very old version of Pro Tools 7HD. It's in the original box, along with the manuals, software, and dongle. So here are some questions.
1. Is there any way that I can use this to upgrade to a current version of Pro Tools? I couldn't see any way to upgrade on Avid's site, and to be fair it is around 15 years old so I wouldn't really expect an upgrade on something that old. 2. Would it be worth trying to sell it? Maybe someone out there has a rig frozen in time that could use it? I also found a sealed box of Pro Tools 10 (nonHD). Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. |

Hi, welcome to the community.
DigiDesign era products are not upgradeable.

Re: Just found an unopened PT7HD box
I’d keep it for another 10 years and sell it as sealed vintage pro tools box. You never know 😁
