I need help.
I have a question that I can't find the answer to. I need to know if location markers in a single Pro Tools session can be accessed with a MIDI controlled keyboard? (I.e. M-Audio keyboard controller). I'd like to assign different notes on the keyboard to access different locate points in the session. Can this be done?
Thanks for anyone's help. |

Re: I need help.
This is a long-shot but it might work:
This Program runs on Mac and turns midi note data into keystrokes. So, you could program the app to recognize a note on the controller and output a "1.", "2." etc or ".1.", ".2." etc depending on what mode you work with for numeric keypad. Things I don't know: If you are on windoze, I don't know if there is an equivalent program and I'm not sure how the program affects midi that that passes through it. Your midi controller might need to be configured with a specific zone on a different channel that you would then assign to the input of the program. Also the program is pretty old so probably untested in newer versions of Mac OS. I tried using it as a way to make my midi controller into a gaming controller and it worked, but I lost interest in it a long time ago..
