Invalid Serial Number

I reformatted my hard drive because I put a new mother board and processor in and when I try to reload my M-Box it tells me that I've entered an invalid serial number. I am using Pro-Tools 7.1. I didn't have this problem before I out new hardware in and reinstalled windows.

When you say serial number, I trust you mean the authorization code printed in the inside front cover of the getting started guide. That is the number you input the first time you try to open a fresh install of protools. Remember that it is case-sensitive and make sure that you include spaces exactly as printed. The large 0 is the number zero, not capitol "O".

I went thru that and it's not working. I followed typing it in exactly like it is and it didn't work. So please help.

Other than the advice that has been given, the only additional assistance that anyone here can give you is to READ THIS.

When I type in the code it says "Invalid Authorization Code" I am typing it as I have always done it. Plus I'm looking right at it as I type, the spaces and "O" are correct also.

I'm not sure what you're looking for here, but we, as Pro Tools users, can do nothing else for you and offer you no other advice or assistance than we already have.

You will need to call/contact Digidesign to solve your problem.

Well I'm still running PT 6.4, but I remember when I upgraded from PT 5 to PT 6 I was issued a new authorization code. Does this apply to PT 7/you?
