Default Digi001 Help.

Can the Digi 001 be compatiable with Pro Tools 7. I have Melodyne plugin and the highest version of Pro Tools I have is 6.4. It shows up when the plugins are loading up. But when I search for it, it is not there I once Had Pro Tools 7 and thought I saw that it recocgnized it but I don't remember. Can someone please help!!. Luckily, I haven't opened the melodyne box yet. I am trying to set up the demo for now.

Digi stopped including drivers for the 001 after 6.4. They claimed that they could not technically support the unit any longer but that has been widely rumoured to be false.

The highest version of Protools that supports the 001 is 6.4. I'm not sure on how far back Melodyne supports Protools.

I beleive you can use a stand alone version of Melodyne, load the Audio file you wish to correct and save the corrected audio. Presumably you would load or be able to import into your session at that point.

I checked the Celemony website and they list the plugin version as being compatible with 7.1-7.3.

According to the FAQ at Celemony at one time Melodyne ran under Windows98 so I would assume that there is a compatible version of Melodyne for 6.4 but it looks like the plug is not going to work.

I suspect you may be out of luck if its not showing on any the plugin lists.

This would be best answered by Celemonys tech support....Although if their is a way of geting it to work with 6.4 Post back and let us know.

Also you might be able to use Celemony Via ReWire in 6.4 (assuming 6.4 supports rewire- I beleive it does)

Probably not what you wanted to hear though.

I don't have 6.4 so I'm guessing at a few things here.

6.4 does support Rewire but in my experience you'll only have one stereo out pair and the rest will be mono (no biggie if you don't mind using two seperate tracks for stereo). I believe there is a way to combine two rewire multi-mono outs on a stereo track which I've used before but I'm not at my pc at the moment.

Were you looking for the pitch correction feature? I use this in my 6.4 setup. It works great and it is FREE!
